Lets start with one basic question we all have in our mind sometime, “what do we do now?” and unable to answer ourself at first. That’s where you need a Guru. Also you will have to accept that in order to master any skill you require a teacher who is proficient in that skill. Since he has earned the experiences and mastered his skills can help us to win over the subject.
There are few kinds of people, Some wants to find out way by their own, some of them want to walk on way suggested by their Guru and he is guaranteed definite success.
Its like when you need a guide to help you reach your destination, a guru is like your GPS in your spiritual journey. He will not let you get lost and he will help you to reach the destination safely and smoothly with wise instructions to follow the path and it’s guaranteed success.
In order to do that, though, you must first submit to him and put all of your ego and myths to the side and trust in him.
When you drive a car, you trust that the GPS will guide you in the right route. Since you can have faith in a programmed device to guide you in the proper path, why not have faith in a realised soul like a Guru who will guide your soul to its destination?
The same holds true for your need to have faith that your Guru will lead you on your spiritual path.
Three gurus who have influenced us
The parents
Our first Gurus are our parents, who teach us moral principles and assist us in integrating into society. In our early years, our parents teach us everything. They educate us about right and wrong.
The Teachers
Our second Guru is our professors, who impart so much knowledge to us in an effort to improve us as people.
Actually, Guru pournima must be observed on the day that Teacher’s Day is observed. We should pay our respects to the teachers on this day and kindly request their blessings. We are disciples, and our professors are our Guru. As a result, we must only recognise Teacher’s Day on this day.
By teaching us a variety of subjects with a generous attitude, our professors lead us down the path of advancement!
Our teachers introduce us to different Bharatiya languages, reawakening our pride in our native tongue. Additionally, they foster an interest in studying our holy writings like the Ramayan, Mahabharat, Dasbodh, etc. They want to make us more like our saints by introducing us to them through this. In addition, they impart knowledge in areas like social science and economics and instil in us a sense of responsibility for the society we live in. We learn how to earn money honestly and ethically through economics classes. Today, we see that corruption permeates the entire country. Teachers believe that we should make changes to this unfortunate situation.
The Spiritual Guru
The ultimate purpose of our lives is revealed to us by the spiritual guru: We have learned about the Gurus who lead us in this material realm so far in this article. Let’s now examine the Spiritual Guru, the third Guru we studied. Everybody experiences the presence of the Guru at some point in their lives. Examples are Shri Krushna-Arjun, Shri Ramkrushna Paramhansa-Swami Vivekanand, and Samarth Ramdas Swam-Shivaji Maharaj. This legacy of the Guru-Disciple relationship is what makes our country special.
Our genuine identity is revealed to us by the Spiritual Guru. We have the misconception that we are only a physical body because of ignorance, but in actuality, we are the soul. It implies that God, Who lives in us, participates in whatever we do. However, we believe that we are the ones who carry out all of the behaviors due of ignorance brought on by our ego. Just consider: if our soul is cut off from our body, will we still be able to function? Therefore, whatever we do is performed by God Himself. He absorbs food. He produces blood. This fact is made clear to us by the Spiritual Guru.
A straightforward path to happiness – Elimination of character flaws We believe we are apart from God because of our ego. We are perpetually miserable as a result. Therefore, if one desires the Spiritual Guru in their life, they must practice prayer, thankfulness, and God’s name chanting. Every time we start a new task, we should be thankful and ask God to help us complete it more effectively. Everyday mistakes should be recorded and the underlying causes should be sought after if we want to get the grace of a Guru. This will facilitate the speedy eradication of our personality flaws, the entry of God’s attributes, and the achievement of bliss.
